I apologize for not writing to you sooner. I just returned from leading a birding tour in Colorado. Pratompon is an excellent birder and he helped locate and identify all the birds we could possibly get in one day at Kampansaen and some other locations. He has excellent site and hearing abilities which made for and great day of Birding in Thailand. I look forward to returning to someday. The driver was also very helpful. He too helped locate birds. I wear the Nature Trails (Green Magpie) button on my birding hat these days.

The entire trip was beautifully planned and I and my friends, enjoyed it tremendously. You have taken great care in planning every of our birdwatching, food, and accommodation needs. I doubt there is another guide who would suggest to the cook what sort of food to prepare and how to prepare it, and go as far as to share his special and secret receipes. We were fortunate and honoured by both you and Kamol's attention throughout the entire trip. I am very glad that you were able to make this trip materialise for us.
Please thank Kamol on my behalf, I have a great respect for him and am very glad to have met him finally. I marvel at how both of you can easily locate and identify the birds that I saw. I am especially grateful to Kamol for his patience and detailed explanation on the differences between species and birds and how to identify particular birds.
He has also very kindly shared with us his experiences with matters concerning conservation and nature education in the Thai context. These discussions were very enlightening as we grapple with similar problems in Singapore. Hopefully, I can apply some of his approaches here in Singapore.

It's such a wonderful time birding. Kamol has been most patient in explaining the distinguishing traits of gulls, wabblers, flycatchers, drongos, etc. His explanation was clearly illustrated by sketches. I couldn't have known the details and learn about them so quickly from reading my guide books.
Thanks to Boo who took very good care of us, I felt so pampered. The refreshment breaks were most enjoyable. It isn't often that I get to sip tea, snack and sit comfortably in a reserve in the mist of singing birds. Kamol's choice of food and his special recipes were well-appreciated. The dishes were very appetising.
I've collected a good number of lifers during this trip but there are a lot more to learn. Strange enough, the farm land was most impressionable. Seeing birds and people co-existing harmoniously somewhat warms my heart.

Spring is very late here this year - it is very cold and we had a snowstorm yesterday; although some of our spring bulbs are starting to come up (tulips, daffodils and crocuses), our resident birds are starting to sing and some hearty early migrants are arriving.

I had such a great trip to Thailand. You ask me to suggest some improvements to make the trip better for the next time but that is very difficult because everything went so well.
The birding, the guides, the food and accommodations, the weather; couldn't have been better. As you know, I have been on birding trips all over the world and I never mind putting up with certain hardships as long as the birding is productive but this trip provided the best of both worlds. Brilliant birds along with fantastic food, comfortable lodging and expert guiding. I wanted for nothing. Kudos to guide for making this trip a smashing success.

We had an excellent trip to Doi Inthanon with a wonderful guide and some amazing birds. Transport is very good. A reliable and comfortable pickup truck was provided which worked well for the 3 or us including Rachen the guide and driver. Accommodation at Inthanon Highland Lodge was ideal. It was very comfortable, had excellent food, friendly staff and even a life bird for me in the garden! Food was very good, and very accommodating for vegetarians. Guiding is first rate, Rachen really knows the birds, their calls, where to go and is excellent at organizing a group. The arrangements was very good. Its clearly a first class outfit and we will use NatureTrails again in the future.

I was very impressed with how professional it was. Every question I had was answered in detail (via internet) the very next day! I felt extremely confident booking with them.
My only regret is that I wish I had more time in Thailand to do all of Nature Trails' tours. I enjoyed it extremely and saw some excellent birds, as well as a few great mammals. Birding with Kamol in Thailand is like getting to bird with Sibley in the US, since he has illustrated many guide books. Our tour was very flexible with personal attention and I was glad that at the end of the day the priority wasn't getting home, but allowing us to stop and enjoy the interesting new animals we would see (ie. hornbills, macaques - we saw some of the best when we "should've" been heading home). I would highly recommend this tour/company/guide to anyone!

Kamol and Rachen were as expert and professional as guides I have met anywhere. Their knowledge was superb. I particularly enjoyed Rachen's encyclopedic knowledge of the Doi Inthanon bird calls - and his imitations of the calls. It was a privilege to be shown Thai birds by someone as outstanding as Kamol.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Doi Inthanon with Rachen. He is very knowledgeable about the birds, their sounds and habitat. He was also very patient and is very diligent at making sure that you see the same bird as he does (whenever possible). The accommodation was good and I would suggest that the hotel provides a fan in each room, since it was very difficult to create a cross-breeze. All other aspects of the trip were good - transportation, food etc.
